Q - I need to send a pedal in to be repaired. What's the process?
A - Before sending anything, please get in touch with us via info@nanologaudio.com with a detailed explanation of your issue. We've found from experience that often the issue isn't the pedal, but how it's being used or being ran with other gear. Things break though. We get that. And we're happy to help. If we can't diagnose the problem, then we'll arrange for you to send it to us.
We will return the pedal to you at no cost, however you have to ship the pedal to us (packaged properly). Please mark "repair/return" on the customs documents.
Q - Do you ship internationally? How long until my order gets shipped?
A - We do ship internationally. We offer free shipping options for both Canada & USA, and we subtract those rate from the international fees, which generally up around $20 for the customer.
Normally, we will ship your order within 2 business days. For all orders outside of Canada & USA, we use our national postal service (Canada Post), which can take 10-12 business days. For some orders in North America, we use FedEx & UPS, which can land in 2-3 business days.
Q - There are no batteries. What kind of power supply do I need?
A - Our pedals use a standard 9v DC adapter with a negative ground (BOSS PSA-120 style). Our pedals are NOT tested at 18v, and would not recommend powering them as such. A high-quality power supply with isolated power is really the best way to go. Voodoo Lab also has some great options. Power is critical to achieving the best tone with your board and maximizing it's potential, and should definitely not be overlooked. Check out this article from Premier Guitar for more information.
Q - We've seen your carbon modded Wampler & BOSS pedals. Can I get my pedal modded with Nanolog Devices?
A - While we'd love to offer this option, it's not currently within our capacity to mod pedals for customers. We are very focused on creating useful advancements to carbon technology, and to developing our own product line, both of which take all of our efforts and time. Thanks for your interest though! It's something we will consider a little further down the line.
Q - What's the difference between the Classic Overdrive and the Wave Function?
A - The Wave Function was our very first finished pedal design, and since launching in 2017, we have learned a LOT! The Classic Overdrive is an evolution based on the feedback we've received from our customers. We've swapped out some internal components, changed the power supply, and added a new buffer to enhance the pedal's performance and ability to integrate into other pedal chains, or perform on it's own.
The heart of the pedal is essentially the same. Tone wise, there is not a significant leap, but the changes have made the pedal very user friendly in any set-up. Onwards and upwards! We still have a few WaveFunctions left in inventory for purchase.
Q - How do we know this isn't just marketing terms, like "magic smoke" or "voodoo magic"?
A - First, we didn't invent the terms "quantum tunneling" or "quantum mechanics", but that's what our devices do. It's science. Quantum tunneling was a noble prize back in 1973, but was thought never to be possible to be applied in a practical sense. And we've changed that. We've proven that you can apply this new science in a commercial sense to improve existing products and technologies.
